Shipping Policy
WHAT IS THE COST
We charge a fixed fee of $4.95 for all shipments on orders valued below $60. Orders exceeding $60 qualify for free shipping. *Free shipping is only available to contiguous USA customers. All international orders will be subject to a shipping fee.
Additionally, expedited shipping options are available for an extra charge. Exclusions do apply to cast iron plates, bumper plates and items shipped via LTL freight.
WHAT IS THE HANDLING TIME?
We generally process and ship orders the same day and at most within 1-2 business days (Monday – Friday). Cut off time for same day processing is 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Important Notice: Delivery windows (transit times) serve as ESTIMATES only. It is crucial to note that business days are strictly defined as Monday through Friday and EXCLUDE Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. It is imperative to understand that we do NOT possess authority over any delays or internal matters concerning USPS or UPS deliveries.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Transit times generally range from 3-10 days depending on your location. Delays are subject but not limited to, holidays, weather, a pandemic, and carrier related delays. Transit time does not include processing and handling.
- USPS First Class mail generally has a 5-7 day transit time.
- USPS Priority mail generally has a 2-5 day transit time.
- FedEx 2Day generally is a 2-3 day transit time.
- FedEx Ground generally is a 3-10 day transit time.
WHAT IS SHIPPING PROTECTION AND SHIPPING INSURANCE?
We are proud to partner with ShipTection. Customers can purchase shipping protection at checkout. If a package is lost, damaged, or stolen, the customer can quickly receive a replacement or refund.
This coverage insures the parcel and its contents against damage or loss from any external cause while in transit to, or from, premises utilized by the insured and in care, custody, or control of the carriers. Underwriters shall be liable for the invoice value of the property lost, destroyed, or damaged. If there is no invoice, Underwriters shall be liable for the Actual Cash Value (ACV) which is replacement cost less depreciation.
Filing A Claim
- Time to File: 90 Days from Date of Shipment
- Lost Shipments: Wait 20 Days Domestic; 30 Days International Shipment
- Damaged Shipments: Can Be Filed Immediately

DO YOU SHIP TO MILITARY (APO) ADDRESSES?
Yes, we do! We ship to APO addresses through USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Please let us know if USPS is denying shipment to your APO address and we will look into a solution for you.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
During checkout, our system will calculate a discounted shipping rate, taxes and customs. All import fees should be included with these estimates. To receive these costs, enter your shipping details into the checkout (prior to payment). Please note: If no taxes or customs are shown, but your order is shipping outside of the United States these fees may be collected prior to delivery. Some country tax rates are not able to be integrated.
You can also contact us with your location and the item(s) of interest. We will provide a shipping quote within one business day.
International Shipments are shipped via DHL or UPS. Transit time estimates and different cost options are provided during checkout (prior to payment)
Import delays are subject, but not limited to, holidays, weather, a pandemic, address issues* and carrier related delays.
*If there is an issue with your provided address the carrier may require pickup from their local facility. If the package is unable to be delivered as addressed or picked up from a local location then the item may be returned to us. If the package is returned, a refund will be applied (upon receipt) minus all shipping costs.
SHIPPING HOLIDAYS AT SERIOUS STEEL
While we ship most items within 1-2 business days, we do take breaks. Below are holidays that you may experience a delay in processing and handling times of your order.

- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- Day after Christmas Day
There are also Federal Holidays that USPS does not offer service. Even if we are working those days, we will not have anyone to pick up your package. In these cases your item(s) will ship the next available business day.
